All rooms are en suite and have televisions and tea and coffee making facilities. The Georgian town house is believed to be the only guest house in the city which has some rooms overlooking the cathedral. It has been awarded four diamonds by the Northumbria tourist board.
The house is rather like the Forth Bridge as it is always being furbished, refurbished, redecorated in some manner and so Jane can offer a higher degree of service today than when she opened in 1988.
